Patrick Elkins-Zeglarski, MFA, concurrently works within the fields of teaching, directing, and dramaturgy. The product of fine educators and committed theatre artists, Patrick honors the tradition of empowered education with the focus and discipline of a theatre professional. Currently national faculty for Lesley University’s School of Education, Patrick has also provided curriculum and instruction for the Dana Foundation, the International Thespian Society, California State University Sacramento, Arizona Commission on the Arts, Berkeley Rep, Sacramento Ballet, Central Washington University, University of Northern Iowa, Denver Center Theatre Company, and K- 12 public and private schools nationally. Because the power of theatre to illuminate and inquire is a core value of the theatrical process, Patrick’s work as both a leader and collaborator in applying theatre-based structures and activities within vocational settings has enriched training and service programming within such organizations as Kaiser Permanente, the Mental Health Center of Denver, Denver Police Department, The Sierra Club, Sacramento County Department of Waste Management and numerous professional development workshops focused on cross-curricular arts integration and assessment for schools and school districts. Patrick’s stagings of classical and contemporary plays and musicals have been seen at professional, community and education theatres. Patrick’s collaboration with playwrights, actors, designers, choreographers and musicians has been rich and varied. Email: Patrick@throughlines.net |
